"My Father, Taylor Hanson": Book 4
Chapter 19

"Daddy!" The shouts came the minute I put my foot out the door of the limo. I barely had enough time to stand up before Zoë was on me pulling my arm so I would get out of the car faster.
"Calm down, kid," I said with a laugh allowing myself to be dragged from the car. "What, did you miss me or something? The last time I saw you was twenty minutes ago and I recall someone that resembles you telling me that I didn't belong in her car because I wasn't a girl so 'go away'."
Zoë giggled as I swooped her up off the ground. "It was my twin sister," she joked.
"Oh really now," I said. I kissed the tip of her nose. "Well you tell your twin sister that Daddy had a great time in his car with the boys but he sure missed his Zoë."
"You did!?" She asked her voice filled with pride and shock.
"Of course I did," I told her.
        "Hey Handsome."
I turned to the sound of Clare's voice. "Hey Beautiful." I kissed her cheek and then kissed my baby who was very wide awake in her arms. "Hey Pumpkin-nose." Anya squealed with delight.
"How's Zac doing?" Clare asked. She glanced towards the white limo that I had gotten out of.
"He's nervous," I told her. I watched as my older brother climbed out of the limo, and looked around for someone he could chat with. The guests had begun to arrive and were milling around, talking with one another. My father and mother were talking to Nicole's parents off to the side of the stairs that lead up to the church. Andy was amongst the bride's maids who had ridden in the limo with Zoë and my wife.
"Where's your flowers?" I asked Zoë.
"In the big car," Zoë replied pointing towards the limo. "Aunt Nicole has them in the refrigerator with hers and her friends'."
I nodded and looked at my watch. "Zac, Isaac, and I better go inside now," I told Clare. "Down you go." I placed my daughter on the ground carefully and gave each of the girls a kiss. "I'll see you inside."
"I'll see you at the altar," Clare said.
        I grinned. "You betcha."
